Beverly Hills
Dr. Daniel Gould offers breast augmentation in Beverly Hills, CA.
There are many milestones and accomplishments in a woman’s life, and these vary depending on the career and family track each person chooses. However, no matter where you are on your personal journey, aging affects everyone differently. As you age, volume is lost in your breasts due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, or significant weight gain or loss.
Dr. Daniel Gould offers some of the best breast augmentation Beverly Hills has to offer, to restore your breasts to a fuller, more youthful shape and size. Learn more about what breast augmentation can do for you by scheduling a virtual or in-person consultation.
Sizing Up the Surgery
Breast augmentation is ideal for women who desire increased volume and larger breasts. Breast Augmentation restores fullness to the upper portion of your breasts and is often performed in conjunction with a breast lift for sagging or deflated breasts. This procedure can be accomplished using implants or with fat from your own body in a unique process that also allows improvement of the shape of your abdomen and waist.
Your selection of breast implants includes saline (saltwater) or silicone (gel-like substance) implants. Each implant offers a specific look and feel. Dr. Gould will discuss your options during your consultation and help you determine the best choice for your body. In addition, Dr. Gould utilizes a unique state-of-the-art approach for sizing that allows for a perfect fit for your implants.
Dr. Gould uses biometric sizing—an algorithm that ensures your size and shape is long-lasting and makes you feel self-confident along with the freedom to enjoy the physical activities you look forward to as part of your routine. Biometric sizing, simply put, is the process of measuring the width of your breast and letting that guide the width of the implant. From there, different projections can be selected to target cup size - and the ‘look.’ Dr. Gould is an expert at communicating with his patients. He can identify if you want to look ‘imperceptible,’ ‘natural,’ ‘blessed,’ or ‘augmented.’ Most patients want to look “blessed,’ not ‘augmented,’ but he can help guide you and support your decisions.
During your Beverly Hills Breast Augmentation consultation, you have the opportunity to look at and feel various implants. The important thing to consider is that bigger is not always better. Remember, the extra weight of the new implants impacts how you hold yourself. Therefore, you want implants that give you the fullness and size you desire without impeding how you live your life.
Feel Confident in Your New Look
The first step of your breast augmentation begins with anesthesia. Next is intravenous sedation and general anesthesia. Then, incisions are made in inconspicuous areas that minimize visible scarring. Different approaches to incisions include either the Periareolar Incision, Inframammary Incision, or Transaxillary Incision. Dr. Gould determines the type of incision needed based on the type of breast implant, the size of the enlargement, and your body.
Most patients select an inframammary incision (below the breast) as this is typically the safest and best-hidden incision. In some cases, the surgery can be performed through an incision only two cm long. The breast implant is placed either under the pectoral muscle or directly behind the breast tissue. Dr. Gould uses a hybrid approach and has an individual strategy for each patient, but he recommends dual plane and sometimes a unique lateral dual plane in wider spaced nipples. He also offers the use of an internal bra for support of the implants and to help long-term results in certain cases.
Composite breast augmentation is a unique state-of-the-art approach where Dr. Gould uses your own fat along with an internal bra and the implant to optimize the custom shape of your breasts. This combination approach allows for more dynamic control over the outcome and allows for better cleavage lines control. Fat utilized in the middle is a great adjunct and is also used in revision cases to further improve outcomes.
Again, the placement is determined by the type and size of the implant. Finally, incisions are closed with sutures, and the breasts are dressed with a compression garment to help minimize swelling.
Your breast augmentation is a personal choice, and every woman has their own story along with specific expectations. Breast augmentation offers the following benefits:
If you are unhappy with a previous breast surgery, Dr. Gould can customize specific approaches to correct your breast issues.
Dr. Gould can improve the look of deflated breasts by increasing fullness and volume.
Breasts come in all shapes and sizes, and most breasts are uneven. However, misshapen or differently-sized breasts can be corrected during your Beverly Hills breast augmentation.
It is crucial to consider your daily activities, such as exercising, and understand that much larger breasts can impede your usual activities. Dr. Gould offers guidance in choosing the right breast size for your body.

Undergoing cosmetic surgery is a personal decision each patient needs to make based on their aesthetic journey. Dr. Gould wants you to consider these crucial factors before undergoing any form of plastic surgery:
When you are ready for this significant change in your life, the next step is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Gould to discuss your options for breast augmentation.
For breast augmentation Beverly Hills patients need to understand what their healing process is like after surgery. Dr. Gould will explain the difference between expected downtime—how long it will take before you return to work versus your healing time—which is how long it takes for you to feel normal and look natural after surgery.
Immediately after your breast augmentation, Dr. Gould will apply a supportive garment, and you will be taken to a recovery area for monitoring. Before either going home or being taken to an aftercare facility, Dr. Gould will show you post-op pictures so you can visibly see your changes.
Day one post-op, you return to the office, and Dr. Gould will change your dressings and check on how you are healing. You will receive Hyperbaric Chamber Treatment, which feeds your cells and tissues the oxygen it needs for optimal healing. In addition, this treatment removes the brain fog that is often associated with anesthesia.
Three to five days post-op, some patients feel well enough to return to work while wearing a supportive garment.
One week post-op, Dr. Gould will check on how you are emotionally, because your body is coming off the pain medications but is still stressed post-surgically. You are withdrawing from pain meds and anesthesia but also from adrenaline and cortisol formed by your body during surgery.
In two weeks, you feel like your breasts are changing, and the implants begin to drop.
By week three, you feel natural on the inside, and sensations are returning so you start to feel like they are your breasts again.
In four to six weeks, you can start to moderately exercise.
By month three, you are ready for hi-def photography or a wedding- that when patients are fully healed outside but still only 50% healed inside, healing actually continues for up to 18 months after surgery! That is why long-term follow-up is key.
Breast Augmentation is a procedure that has been around since the 1960s and has seen significant improvements over the last few decades in terms of implant shape, size, and consistency. While complications are rare, some risks include asymmetry, scar tissue around the implant known as capsular contracture, implant leakage, and infection. There are also two very rare conditions (Breast Implant Illness and ALCL) which are associated with textured implants (which Dr. Gould does not use). These potential complications are all discussed with a specialized consent process where your concerns are addressed step by step. However, Dr. Gould will discuss all of your concerns to ensure breast augmentation is the proper procedure for you.
During your consultation, Dr. Gould creates a treatment plan based on your breast exam and determines the best approach to meet your needs. Each breast augmentation differs with each patient based on implant size and other options that may be needed to achieve the desired aesthetic. The additional use of fat or an internal bra, or a lift at the same time can all change the overall cost due to the additional time, effort, and materials needed for these cases.
In addition, the cost of your outpatient breast augmentation surgery is discussed immediately after the consultation with Dr. Gould's coordinator. Dr. Gould does not discuss pricing on any procedure in his clinic.
Breast Augmentation is a cosmetic procedure and is typically not covered by medical insurance. In rare cases of congenital breast deformity or in cases of trauma or cancer, breast reconstruction is the procedure of choice, which is quite different. Dr. Gould does offer breast reconstruction in his practice. However, it is important to check with your insurance provider about your coverage options. Dr. Gould offers payment and financing options for your convenience.
Your procedure requires you to have someone drive you home. The importance of having someone with you the night of surgery is that the medications can make it difficult for you to get up in the middle of the night, and having someone to watch you or be there for you if needed is part of safety after surgery. Aftercare is not required for these procedures, but it is offered and can be coordinated—for those patients coming in from out of town, aftercare is a good option or a nearby hotel across the street from the operating room where Dr. Gould can go and check in on you and your loved ones the night of or the next morning.
