Dr. Daniel Gould offers fat transfer breast augmentation in Beverly Hills, CA
Breast augmentation is a very personal choice, but not all women want breast implants as part of their augmentation. There is another natural option involving the use of fat from your body via liposuction. Then, it is injected into your breasts to the specified size of choice. Dr. Gould offers patients in Beverly Hills Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation to improve breast shape and add volume and contour to your breasts.
A Beautiful Change in Your Life
Fat Transfer breast augmentation uses fat from your own body, such as from your abdomen, thighs, back, buttocks, or arms. The fatty tissue is then transferred to your breasts to increase volume and the shape of your breasts. The grafted fat becomes a permanent and natural part of your breasts.
Patients considering natural breast augmentation typically include women who consider the following:
How do you know if you are ready for plastic surgery? There are four factors that must be considered before undergoing any type of plastic surgery. These factors include:
Will you have enough time to fully recover? Ensuring you have the proper amount of time to take care of yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally is essential.
Do you have a support system, or will you need additional help? Dr. Gould wants to ensure there are family or friends to attend to you, especially during the first week of recovery. You will be unable to lift anything so having someone care for young children and pets is vital. If you need additional help, our dedicated staff can arrange for care at a post-surgical treatment facility.
It is important you consider how much time off work and any extra support you may need. The last thing you need to worry about while recovering from surgery is paying bills or other financial concerns.
In addition to the physical recovery, Dr. Gould wants you to understand that you undergo an emotional journey as part of the recovery process.
When you are ready for this significant change in your life, the next step is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Gould to discuss your options with a Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation in Beverly Hills.
Contours You’ll Love
During your consultation, Dr. Gould determines a suitable size for your breasts using biometric sizing. The algorithms used ensure you receive a size and shape that is long-lasting and comfortable enough for you to feel self-confident and enjoy the freedom to be as physical as you desire.
Your procedure involves liposuction to remove excess fat, which is then processed and reinserted into your breasts. The liposuction involves using a cannula (a thin metal tube) to suction the fat from the donor area. Once your breasts reach the desired volume, size, and shape, Dr. Gould will dress the area to minimize swelling. Overall, your procedure takes between two and four hours, depending on the amount of fat tissue needed to fulfill the desired breast volume.
Fat cells are extremely sensitive to shear stress, and Dr.Gould utilizes a state-of-the-art platform for fat transfer to reduce the shear stress that fat cells feel. The technology is a closed system that allows for separation of the fat and then uses a special pressure-sensing pump to allow gentile distribution of the fat into the breasts through a vibrating handpiece which allows for a gentle massage of the fat into the tissues. These steps serve to reduce shear stress and improve fat cell viability. Syringes generate 760 mm mercury pressure which is a lot compared to this system which generates only 11 mm mercury pressures.
There is a difference between downtime and healing time. Your downtime includes how long it takes for you to be able to return to work. Heal time refers to how long it takes to look natural after surgery. With this surgery, you need to heal from two procedures—liposuction and breast augmentation.
However, our natural fat transfer breast augmentation typically offers a shorter recovery period. A compression garment is worn for a few weeks to provide support and minimize swelling. You may have slight bruising and swelling where your fat was grafted, but these symptoms subside within a couple of weeks.
Your results are two-fold. You will enjoy the new contour of your physique from your liposuction. Your new figure is permanent, and fat will not return to the grafted areas. Then, your Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation results are visible within a few weeks, once the swelling subsides and the fatty tissues fuse with your existing breast tissue.
Youthful, Subtle, Natural-looking Breasts
Dr. Gould is not only an experienced surgeon; he also holds a Ph. D in Bioengineering and wants his patients to not only understand their procedure but also what happens to their bodies as they undergo cosmetic surgery. With Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation Beverly Hills patients can experience compassionate and knowledgeable care by scheduling your private consultation today.
You will be under anesthesia during your procedure, so you will not feel any pain. Dr. Gould offers a post-treatment plan to keep you comfortable and minimize discomfort during recovery.
While complications are rare, some risks include infection, cysts, microcalcification, and possible necrosis of the transferred fat cells. In addition, newly transferred fat cells must rely on the blood supply already in your breasts and do not have their own blood supply source—making fat survival less predictable.
This is a very common question- the reality is that there is a very simple answer to this question. Transplanted fat cells require oxygen and nutrient support. In an ideal world, each transplanted fat cell needs a breast cell next to it to provide that support. So the maximum fat transplantable is equivalent to the volume of breast tissue there. That's why an A cup can only really go to an A+ or B cup, whereas a C cup can easily go to a D cup or slightly larger. If the breast starts at 250 grams of tissue and we add 250 grams, then the breast can approach 500 grams (approximately a C cup), an additional procedure can be done next to add 500 grams to take the breast closer to 1000 grams if desired. This illustrates the fact that sometimes patients require several surgeries in a row in order to slowly progressively augment their breasts.
During your consultation, Dr. Gould will determine your treatment plan. The procedure varies for each patient based on how much fat is grafted and the size and shape of your breasts. The cost of your outpatient breast surgery is discussed immediately after the consultation with Dr. Gould's coordinator. Dr. Gould does not discuss pricing on any procedure in his clinic.
Fat transfer breast augmentation is a cosmetic surgery and is not covered by medical insurance. However, Dr. Gould offers payment and financing options for your convenience.
Your procedure requires you to have someone drive you home. The importance of having someone with you the night of surgery is that the medications can make it difficult for you to get up in the middle of the night, and having someone to watch you or be there for you if needed is part of safety after surgery. Aftercare is not required for these procedures, but it is offered and can be coordinated. For those patients coming in from out of town, aftercare is a good option (or a nearby hotel across the street from the operating room) where Dr. Gould can go and check in on you and your loved ones the night of or the next morning.
